We engineer it. Take our Damru dining table. It started as a structural sketch inspired by the musical instrument, moved to selecting a specific slab of Brazilian Quartzite, and was finished by craftsmen who understand how to balance weight on those two spheres. When you commission a piece with us, you are part of that workflow, ensuring the scale and material feel right in your specific dining room. We build furniture in our own workshop in Mumbai because we believe the finish and durability matter as much as the look. We blend traditional techniques like Marodi and Pichwai with modern materials like brass, bent teakwood, and marble. Whether you are looking for a dining table that functions as a conversation starter, a custom sofa built for your exact floor plan, or a statement chair that brings a piece of Indian craftsmanship into your home, we manage the entire build. We do not follow catalogs. We start with the material, understand your space, and build it from the ground up. This approach lets us control quality, from the joinery of the teak wood to the inlay of the brass. By working with us, you get furniture that avoids the uniformity of mass production and carries a sense of place. If you have an empty corner or a specific functional need, we work with you to turn those requirements into a finished object that actually lasts. ## About Soch Design Studio We are Soch Design Studio, based in Mumbai. We started our workshop because we wanted furniture that had an Indian soul but functioned for modern lives, so we craft every piece ourselves. If you need a space with a story rather than just mass-produced style, let's talk.
