You won't find us interrupting the flow of rituals, as we prioritize candid shots of family interaction and the genuine smiles that happen when you're surrounded by loved ones. Haldi photography is distinct from the main wedding day. It is high-energy, fast-paced, and often chaotic. My approach is to move with the crowd, using fast prime lenses to get sharp shots even when people are moving quickly to apply paste or dance. ### Light and Color The bright yellow of the Haldi and marigold decor needs to be balanced against skin tones. We edit to ensure those colors pop without making the skin look oversaturated. We keep a close eye on the natural light, especially during outdoor ceremonies in Mumbai where the sun can be harsh. ### Ritual Sensitivity Whether it is a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony or a North Indian Haldi, I know the flow of rituals. We watch for key moments like the ceremonial bath, the application of paste by elders, and the playful teasing between friends. Our team stays alert to capture the bride's glowing expressions as the ceremonies progress. ### Why Candid Matters In my 15 years of experience, I have learned that the best photos aren't the ones where everyone is looking at the camera.
