It is about finding that one signature expression or gesture that everyone recognizes. My sketches are all hand-drawn with pen and ink—no digital filters. If you want a tribute piece or a caricature that feels human and honest, we can discuss the reference photos and the specific vibe or life moment you want to highlight. ### More Than Just a Sketch When I draw a tribute, I am not just sketching a face; I am trying to capture a legacy. Whether it is a Bollywood legend or a leader who shaped our policy, my goal is to keep the art honest. My style is old-school. I prefer the grit of pen and ink because it brings a texture that digital tools often miss. I focus on: * **Strong Lines:** I use bold ink hatching to define character and age. * **Expression-First:** I spend time looking at videos and photos to pick up on the person’s mannerisms, not just their appearance. * **Shraddhanjali (Tributes):** These pieces are made with respect. I avoid exaggeration that borders on mockery, keeping the tone dignified yet expressive. ### How We Can Collaborate If you have a public figure you admire or a loved one you want to memorialize in this style, you can commission a custom tribute. 1. **Reference Photos:** Send me 2-3 clear photos. The angle matters, but the expression matters more. 2. **The Vibe:** Tell me what you want to emphasize. Do you want a serious, respectful portrait, or one that captures their lighter, comedic side? 3. **The Format:** I can provide these as high-resolution digital scans for your personal collection, or as physical framed artwork if you want something ready to hang. Everything is hand-drawn. If you are looking for that classic cartooning feel, let us chat. ## About SKD I came from a small village with nothing but a sketchpad, and cartooning became my language. When I create a tribute, I focus on the lines that define a person's life and legacy. It is just me, my pens, and your memories.
