I pay close attention to getting the features and expression just right, so the final artwork is a true and heartfelt representation.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/4922e5d6-45ef-451b-86f9-d239ed56b2fc) ## About Custom Portraits: Your Memories on Canvas The most important part of my process is that high-resolution reference photo. Since I use mixed media like color pencils and markers on acid-free paper, I need to see the fine details to get the eyes and smile just right. Once you send me the photo, give me about 4 to 7 days to sketch and frame it, and you will have a finished piece ready for your wall. ### My Approach to Realistic Portraits I believe art should be a true representation of the person. I don't try to change features or make them cartoonish. Instead, I focus on the eyes, the smile, and that specific look that makes a person who they are. #### Why High-Resolution Photos Matter Because I work on paper, I need a clear photo to see the textures. If the image is blurry, it is hard to capture the depth of the face. Whether you are ordering a portrait for a birthday, an anniversary, or just as a gift, the quality of the reference photo is the starting point of the artwork. #### What You Get * **Material:** I use professional-grade, acid-free drawing paper. This ensures the sketch doesn't yellow over time and stays vibrant. * **Medium:** A mix of color pencils and art markers to get the skin tones and shading accurate. * **Framing:** Every portrait comes in a black or brown synthetic wood frame with a glass front. It is ready to hang or display on your desk the moment it arrives. #### My Process 1. **Selection:** You share the photo with me. 2. **Sketching:** I spend 4 to 7 days layering the colors and defining the features. 3. **Finishing:** I frame the piece and secure it with bubble wrap and cardboard for safe delivery across India. If you have an old family photo that you want to preserve as a sketch, or if you are planning a surprise gift, let me know. I am based in Delhi but I regularly ship my work to clients across the country. ## About SKD Main SKD hoon. I started in a small village, copying drawings from books just to fix them, and that passion for art never left me. I don't believe in over-promising, just honest work that captures the person in front of me.
