Whether in Italy, Dubai, or Turkey, we maintain a structured regimen that includes four hours of Asana, two hours of philosophy, and daily Satsang. You are coming to practice, study, and immerse yourself in a disciplined environment, just as you would within our home ashram. ### Bringing the Ashram Experience to the World The essence of Sivananda Yoga does not change with the scenery. Whether we are in the Mediterranean or the Middle East, our retreats preserve the integrity of the Sivananda lineage. We focus on the five points of yoga: proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet, and positive thinking and meditation. ### What to Expect Expect a rigorous, traditional environment. Our retreats are designed for those with a sincere desire for knowledge, not those seeking a luxury holiday. The day typically begins with morning Satsang, followed by intense Hatha Yoga sessions, and concludes with evening meditation. We emphasize community living and vegetarian, sattvic nourishment to support your inner journey. ### The Role of Philosophy Philosophy is central to our work. We include regular classes on Vedanta, the Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita to provide the intellectual framework for your physical practice. You will have direct access to Swami Govindananda for guidance, allowing for personal questions and deeper clarity on your spiritual path. ### Joining the Sangha Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, your sincerity is the only requirement.
