We use traditional brass Kansa plates and authentic bamboo elements to create a dining space that is as soulful as the recipes we serve. ### A Piece of Home in Juhu We started Singju because we were missing the flavors of the Northeast in Mumbai. It was never just about the food. We wanted to build a space where you could slow down and experience the culture we grew up with. When you step off Juhu Tara Road and into our restaurant, you will notice the difference immediately. ### The Setting Our space is divided into two levels to offer different experiences: * **The Upper Deck:** Features traditional low tables for a grounded, intimate dining experience. It is perfect if you want to sit back and chat for a while. * **The Main Floor:** Surrounded by photographs, cultural artifacts, and greenery, this area brings the vibrant energy of our region to life. ### Why Kansa Matters Every meal is served on traditional Kansa (bronze) ware, lined with a banana leaf. This is not just for show. In our culture, eating on Kansa is considered healthy, and it grounds the meal, reminding us of home. Combined with the smell of fermented bamboo shoots and the fiery kick of Bhoot Jolokia, every detail is intended to transport you. ### Planning Your Visit If you are coming to try our signature Naga-style pork or a bowl of Thukpa, remember that our space is cozy. We recommend checking availability if you are planning to visit with a larger group or during peak weekend hours. We are here to serve honest, heartfelt food, and we look forward to welcoming you into our space. ## About Singju We are just a team from the Northeast missing the comforts of home, so we built Singju to bring those memories to Mumbai. We wanted a place where the vibe is as authentic as our Bhoot Jolokia chutney, filling our space on Juhu Tara Road with the warmth of our culture.
