My black and white aesthetic relies on specific, high-contrast lighting setups that emphasize texture and depth, qualities that are often lost in color. When we choose a monochrome session, we are intentionally manipulating shadows and highlights to frame your features, creating a portrait that feels like a still from a classic film. When the vibrant colors of a wedding or a fashion editorial are stripped away, what remains is the raw, unadulterated connection between subjects. I grew up with poetry and cinema that favored mood over spectacle, and that is what I bring to my monochrome work.
