That is the energy you want to remember, not the forced poses. Haldi, Mehendi, and Sangeet ceremonies are rarely about perfection. They are about the beautiful, colorful, and sometimes chaotic reality of families coming together. When I shoot these events, I do not set up lights that kill the vibe or ask you to look at the lens. I move with the flow of the crowd to catch the energy as it happens. At a Haldi, you will likely be covered in turmeric, water, and marigolds. I stay close to get those genuine, messy reactions—the laughter when the bucket spills, the playful wrestling, and the pure, unguarded joy. For Mehendi, the mood shifts. It becomes more intimate. I focus on the quiet beauty—the delicate henna art, the whispered secrets between cousins, and the soft golden light that filters through the afternoon. My team and I work to document the full arc of the day. We capture the grand entrance and the big dance numbers at the Sangeet, but we are also hunting for the moments in between. The candid glance, the grandmother watching from the corner, the frantic energy of the decor setup—these are the threads that tie your wedding story together. Whether you are planning a small home-based celebration or a full-scale destination event, my approach remains the same: I want to capture the heartbeat of your festivity, not just the staging.
