We start by mastering the grid method to get your proportions spot on. Once the structure is right, we move to high-contrast shading with charcoal, where the real magic happens—bringing depth and life to those eyes. It is a game-changer when you see your first drawing pop off the paper. How is that for a start? ✨ My studio in Dashrath Puri is designed to be a place where art happens by feeling, not by force. Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or you are looking to master advanced charcoal techniques for a BFA portfolio, my classes are structured to help you grow. ### The Path to Realism Portrait drawing is all about observation. In our sessions, we focus on: * **The Grid Method:** This is essential for getting facial proportions accurate. You will learn to map out features before you lay down a single stroke of shading. * **Charcoal Mastery:** We practice using charcoal powder and sticks to create deep blacks and smooth gradients. This gives your work that dramatic, high-contrast look. * **Texture & Detail:** You will learn how to render hair flow, skin pores, and eye reflections. It is about understanding how light interacts with the face. ### Why Join My Studio? I keep my batches small, with only 6 to 8 students. This means you get personal attention while you work on your sketches. We focus on the principles of light and shadow that apply to any medium, whether you are using graphite pencils, pen, or charcoal. We don't rush. You go at your own pace, and I am right there to demonstrate strokes and pressure techniques as we go. If you are ready to put pencil to paper and take your art to the next level, come by the studio. Let’s see what we can create together. Har Har Mahadev! 🔱 ## About Shubham Dogra I am Shubham, just a guy from Jammu living his dream in Delhi.
