## About Bharatanatyam: On Stage & In Portrait

What you see on stage—the precision of an *araimandi*, the clarity of a *mudra*—is the result of years of disciplined training within the Kalakshetra tradition. When we discuss a performance, we look at more than just the repertoire; we collaborate on how to translate the *Navarasa* (nine emotions) to suit your specific venue, whether it is an intimate community event or a large-scale auditorium in Delhi NCR.

### Bringing Storytelling to the Stage

Bharatanatyam is far more than physical movement. It is a language of *Abhinaya* (expression) that I have spent my life mastering. Whether I am presenting a traditional *varnam* or a contemporary dance drama like 'The Wheel of Choices', my focus remains on clarity and narrative depth. I believe that every performance should leave the audience feeling connected to the history and emotion of the piece.

### My Approach to Performance

My work ranges from solo recitals to large-scale collaborative productions. I handle everything from the initial choreography to the finer details of costume, lighting cues, and sound integration. I have had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues like the NCPA in Mumbai and international festivals in Paris and Reunion Island. This global exposure, combined with my roots in Delhi, allows me to adapt my performances to diverse settings—from government cultural collaborations to private artistic galas.

### Capturing the Art Form

Beyond live stage work, I specialize in dance-centric portraiture. These shoots are designed to showcase the sculptural quality of classical postures.
