We usually start with a few playful activities so they feel involved, which helps capture genuine interactions with your bump instead of staged portraits. Bringing a toddler or older child to a maternity session changes the energy, and I honestly think it makes for the most meaningful photos. Since toddlers have their own timeline, we prioritize their comfort first. If they need a break, a snack, or just some time to explore the studio, we take it. In my Goregaon studio, we keep the setup simple for family shots. We often start with sibling-focused frames, allowing them to kiss the bump or rest their head on it while you are still fresh and they are full of energy. For families worried about their little one being shy, I suggest bringing along their favorite toy or comfort item. It helps them settle into the space, and it often adds a sweet, personal touch to the final gallery. Whether we are doing a formal setup with a gown or a casual look with jeans, the goal is always to freeze that specific anticipation your older child feels about their new sibling.
