It is about the shared energy in the room, the surprise of a reveal, and giving your guests a moment they will actually remember. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A highlight from a live performance where I painted a portrait of Valmiki upside down, finishing with a dramatic reveal using gold glitter.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/764dd7c1-3869-42e3-b2a4-1ad8ce95a834) - [Video: Another angle of the upside-down live art performance, showing the process from the back as the image of the sage Valmiki takes shape.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/7cf37994-ff12-436f-b9d8-d8f248443c53) - [Video: A creative sketch where I draw a portrait of the Chalukya king, Immadi Pulakeshi, by starting with the letters of his name in Kannada.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/d9774d39-33cf-49b2-a323-5ae740f503c6) - [Video: The 'one sketch one smile' initiative. Whether I am painting a portrait upside down or using gold glitter to reveal a figure, I design these acts to build anticipation. My goal is to make your guests stop, look, and genuinely wonder what is appearing on the canvas until the very last stroke. ### More Than Just a Painting Live art is a performance. I don't just stand in a corner and paint; I create a focal point. My live sessions are designed to engage your guests, whether it is a corporate event, a wedding, or a private celebration. **What I bring to your event:** * **The Reveal:** My speed painting sets, like the upside-down portrait of Valmiki, are built for suspense. Guests watch as abstract strokes slowly resolve into a recognizable face, ending with a dramatic flourish or glitter reveal that draws a crowd. * **Conceptual Sketches:** I love playing with forms. A popular request is my letter-based sketching—where I take a name or a concept and build the entire portrait out of the Kannada letters themselves. It is a unique way to honor a guest or a theme. * **Interactive Energy:** I feed off the room’s energy. Because I have spent years sketching in public spaces and collaborating on school murals, I am comfortable performing in front of an audience. I enjoy explaining the 'how' as I go, making it an educational and fun experience for everyone watching. ### Why Choose Live Art? It breaks the ice. At weddings or larger gatherings, having a live artist provides an activity that gets people talking. It is authentic, handmade, and completely unique to your day. *Kayakave Kailasa* (work is worship) is the principle I follow. Whether it is a quick sketch or a planned performance piece, I put the same level of care into it. If you have a specific theme or a special person you want to surprise with a portrait, let’s talk about how to make that reveal the highlight of your event. ## About Shivakumar Kandikere Namaskara, I’m SK.
