Here is a glimpse of how I bring ideas to life through charcoal, pencil, and canvas. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A quick look at the different kinds of 2D art I create. This reel shows my range, from pencil sketches of Krishna and Adiyogi to a charcoal portrait of the respected environmentalist, Saalumarada Thimmakka.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/bf1fa4eb-2f7a-463a-a307-b8a9106919ff) ## About Drawings & Paintings When you commission a portrait or live sketch, the most important factor is the quality of the reference photo. A clear image with natural lighting helps me capture true expressions, rather than just the outline. If you are planning this for a wedding or corporate event, please share the venue details and lighting conditions early, so I can choose the right medium to make the artwork stand out for your guests. Art is my worship, my 'Kayakave Kailasa'. Beyond the clay sculptures I am well known for, my sketchbook is where the foundation of every project begins. Whether it is a commissioned pencil portrait or a live performance at your celebration, I approach every surface with the same devotion. ### Custom Portrait Commissions I create detailed pencil and charcoal portraits that serve as memories for a lifetime. These are not just drawings; they are an attempt to capture the essence of a person or a moment. Whether you want a single portrait or a couple sketch, I work closely with you to understand the emotion you want to preserve. High-quality reference photos are essential here, as they allow me to focus on the fine details that make a portrait feel alive. ### Live Event Painting If you are hosting a wedding, birthday, or a corporate function in Bengaluru, I bring my art to the audience. I offer live speed painting and interactive canvases that keep guests engaged. Watching an image form on the canvas in real-time creates a unique connection, turning your celebration into an art experience. It is pure magic to see the surprise on people's faces when a glitter art reveal comes together. ### My Approach to Media My work ranges from traditional pencil sketching to modern charcoal shading. I am always exploring new textures and techniques. Each drawing follows a process of careful observation and layering, ensuring that the final piece has depth and character. My goal is simple: to create something that brings a smile to your face. ## About Shivakumar Kandikere Namaskara, I am SK. My journey started as a young boy selling clay Ganesha idols for ten rupees, and today, I approach every drawing with that same simple joy. I am happiest when my work brings a smile to your face, whether it is a detailed portrait or a live painting at your celebration.
