For those who want to hold a loved one close in a way that feels permanent and personal, I offer portraits using a distinct, organic medium. ## Photos and videos - [Video: "In life, I loved only one thing, and that is you." A tribute to the late Puneeth Rajkumar and his wife, painted with my own blood to express a fan's deep love and connection.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/3879a9c8-808e-48e2-b2d6-51b02c3a5225) ## About Unique Blood Art Commissions You might be wondering about the safety and longevity of this medium. Every portrait is treated with professional anti-coagulants to maintain consistency and then sealed with multiple layers of industrial-grade varnish to prevent oxidation. This ensures your piece retains its distinct sepia tone and remains fully protected for a lifetime. ### Why choose this medium? This isn't about the shock value of the medium; it is about the emotional weight it carries. Many clients come to me when they want to create a tribute that feels like a part of themselves. Whether it is a memorial piece for a loved one, like the tribute I created for Puneeth Rajkumar, or a symbol of deep family pride, this organic medium turns a standard portrait into a living connection. ### How the process works 1. **The Discussion:** We start by talking about the person or the memory you want to capture. Since this is a permanent medium, I need to understand exactly what the subject means to you. 2. **The Treatment:** The medium is carefully treated with anti-coagulants to ensure fluidity. I use heavy-weight watercolor paper or canvas, which provides the best texture for this specific material. 3. **Preservation:** Once the portrait is complete, I apply multiple layers of specialized varnish. This seals the art, protecting it from moisture and environmental changes that could cause fading or oxidation. ### Is it safe? Yes. I have developed a hygienic process that ensures the stability of the medium. The final piece will not degrade, and the sepia, monochromatic look will remain vibrant. It is a quiet, powerful way to honor someone you truly value. If you have a story that deserves to be told in this way, let’s talk. ## About Shivakumar Kandikere Namaskara, I am SK.
