I use a naked or semi-naked finish, which is just a thin scrape of cream on the sides, because I want you to taste the moisture in the sponge and the depth of my house-made compotes, not a thick layer of sugar. Every order is baked fresh in my Gurugram bakehouse, so you aren't getting something that has been sitting in a display case. ### Why I keep it 'Naked' Most commercial cakes rely on heavy frosting to hide the texture of the sponge or mask a lack of flavour. My approach is the opposite. By stripping back the cream to a naked or semi-naked finish, I am forced to ensure the sponge itself is perfect. Whether it is my Lemon Basil sponge or a classic chocolate base, the cake needs to be moist, light, and delicious on its own. ### Fresh, House-Made Components I don't believe in shortcuts. My compotes—like the raspberry or pineapple fillings—are made from scratch in my kitchen. When you order a fresh fruit cake, you are getting seasonal produce, not canned alternatives. For my chocolate variants, I use couverture chocolate (54% to 70% cocoa solids) to ensure a deep, rich flavour that pairs well with the reduced sugar content of the naked style. ### Custom Flavours for Your Celebration Because I bake to order, you have the flexibility to choose a flavour profile that actually fits your event. * **For a summer gathering:** My Coconut Pineapple or Fresh Mango naked cakes offer a light, refreshing finish. * **For true indulgence:** The Pistachio White Chocolate or Chocolate Hazelnut cakes provide a crunch and depth that feels like a dessert, not just a snack. * **For something unique:** The Raspberry Basil or Lemon Basil options offer a sophisticated, zesty profile that many of my clients find surprising and refreshing. Everything is available eggless.
