We handle the studio, the props, and the setup in Defence Colony, so you can focus on the giggles and the frosting. ## Photos and videos - ![The whole family joins in on the fun! We coordinate the backdrop and props to match your vision, but the main event—the smashing and eating—is entirely up to your little one. We have a private changing lounge and feeding area at our studio, so do not worry about the cleanup afterwards. ### Why a studio cake smash works Unlike an outdoor shoot, a studio environment gives us complete control over lighting and distractions. A first birthday is a sensory overload for a toddler. By creating a calm, climate-controlled space in Defence Colony, we help your child feel comfortable enough to actually interact with the cake. ### What to expect from the session We design the setup to be age-appropriate. We use safe, premium props and backdrops that look great in high-definition photos without overwhelming the main subject. If your child is hesitant at first, we take our time. We never rush a one-year-old into performing. Sometimes the best shots come after they have had a few minutes to explore the setup and realize that making a mess is encouraged. ### Practical tips for parents * **Timing:** Schedule the shoot when your baby is usually most active and fed, rather than right before their nap time. * **Outfits:** Bring a backup outfit for the baby and a change of clothes for yourselves. You might end up covered in frosting too. * **Coordination:** We provide the backdrop and props. If you have a specific color theme in mind, let us know beforehand so we can prep the studio. We keep the focus on the real, unscripted reactions—the confused looks, the first taste of sugar, and the wide grins. These are the moments that become family heirlooms. ## About Shipra & Amit We are Shipra and Amit. We love capturing that exact moment when a one-year-old realizes they can play with their food. We manage the mess and the themes at our Defence Colony studio, making sure you walk away with real, joyful memories rather than stiff, posed photos.
