KIO is the only organization in India recognized by the World Karate Federation and the International Olympic Committee. If your current certification does not provide a direct, verifiable pathway to official national and international championships, it will not count when your students aim for the world stage. ### Why Official Affiliation Matters In the Indian karate landscape, there is a clear difference between a local club and a nationally recognized federation. When you affiliate with the Karate India Organisation (KIO), you align your dojo with the global standards set by the World Karate Federation (WKF) and the Asian Karate Federation (AKF). ### The KIO Advantage - **International Recognition:** Your students earn certificates that are valid for government sports quotas and international competition entries. - **Direct Pathways:** We provide the only authorized route for athletes to compete in official Commonwealth, Asian, and World Karate Championships. - **Institutional Credibility:** We represent the interests of elite teams, including the Indian Army, ITBP, and Delhi Police. When these institutions choose KIO, they do so because we hold the mandate for the sport in India. ### Certification and Standards We do not just hand out certificates; we uphold the integrity of the sport. Whether you are seeking a Dan grade certification or looking to upgrade your status as a national referee, our technical panels ensure every test meets the rigorous physical and theoretical standards required by the WKF. This commitment to structure ensures that when our Indian athletes step onto the mat in China or the UAE, they are prepared to win, not just participate. Jai Hind. ## About Bharat Sharma I have dedicated my life to ensuring Indian karatekas get the recognition they deserve on the world stage.
