That is why our organisation goes beyond traditional coaching, securing partnerships like our recent collaboration with the Indian Academy of Sports Dentistry to protect our athletes' health, and Amity University to provide scholarships for continued education. When you join the KIO, you get a support system that cares about your career, your safety, and your future—not just your medal count. ### Your Path to the Global Stage As the only WKF and AKF-affiliated national federation in India, we provide the sole legitimate route for athletes aiming to compete in official international championships. When you train with us, you are not just practicing a sport; you are preparing for the highest levels of competition, from Commonwealth Games to the Asian Championships. ### Why KIO Matters * **Official Recognition:** We ensure your participation and medals are recognized by the World Karate Federation. This is the bedrock of a professional career. * **Holistic Support:** We know the journey is tough. Whether it is our collaboration with the Indian Academy of Sports Dentistry to prevent orofacial injuries or our partnership with Amity University to ensure your education continues alongside your training, we provide the infrastructure athletes need to succeed. * **Financial & Technical Backing:** From sponsoring international travel to providing cash awards for medalists, we ensure that talent is never held back by a lack of resources. ### Leadership & Mentorship I personally oversee the development pathway for our athletes. My role as KIO President is to remove the barriers that have historically held Indian karate back. We coordinate with elite global coaches, such as Iran's Amir Mehdi Zadeh, to ensure our team receives the exact technical expertise needed to dominate on the mat. If you have the fire, we provide the platform to make Bharat proud. ## About Bharat Sharma I am Bharat Sharma, and my life is dedicated to ensuring Indian karateka get the platform they deserve. I don't just lead the Karate India Organisation; I personally mentor every athlete who walks through our doors, ensuring you have the full backing of our federation to compete on the world stage.
