We do not adapt, soften, or change our methods for convenience. If you join us, you are learning from the same source as students in Japan, with the same discipline and focus on traditional form that I have been refining for over three decades. ### Why Lineage Matters in Karate Most schools modify their curriculum for competitive sports, but we prioritize the traditional Shorin-ryu Shorinkan style. My teachers, the late Hanshi Shugoro Nakazato and Hanshi Minoru Nakazato, showed me the real way to practice. By returning to Okinawa every year, I ensure that my instructors and I keep our knowledge current with the masters in Japan. Alli hege teach madtare, same illi navu teach madtivi. ### What to Expect from Our Syllabus Authenticity means no shortcuts. Whether you are learning basic katas or complex Kobudo weapons like the Bo staff or Sai, the curriculum is identical to the one taught in our Honbu dojo in Bangalore and our centers in Mysore and Kolar. We maintain the same belt grading standards as the international federation. This ensures that every student who earns a belt from us has reached a standard recognized by the global martial arts community. ### Who This Is For This training is not about collecting belts. It is about understanding the roots of karate. We welcome everyone, from children who need discipline to adults looking to master self-defense. If you value traditional martial arts and want to learn from instructors who are still students of the art themselves, our dojo is the right place. We invite you to experience training that stays true to its origin, without dilution. ## About OSK Federation I started OSK Federation in 1992 with just 14 students in Bannerghatta because I wanted to share the real essence of karate. Today, I am still the same student at heart, traveling to Japan annually to train under masters like the Nakazatos. My goal is simple: to make sure you get the same, unaltered Okinawan education that I receive.
