The headline, "Smartphone Soda, Career-shi Nate Joda" (Leave your smartphone, connect with your career), perfectly captures our message about focus and dedication.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/42802efb-30ff-410a-af95-92cd17d0930b) ## About Press & Media Features Our 'Smartphone Soda, Career-shi Nate Joda' campaign wasn't just a newspaper headline. It was a direct wake-up call we took to schools across Mumbai. We showed students how constant digital distraction is the single biggest hurdle to cracking competitive exams, urging them to disconnect from screens and reconnect with their actual career goals. Education is often reduced to rote learning and race-for-rankings, but my philosophy at Shelar Academy has always been about creating a complete roadmap. When media outlets like the Maharashtra Times feature our work, it is never about self-promotion. It is about reaching the parents and students who are currently confused about their future. ### Why We Speak Out We use our platform to talk about the things most coaching centres ignore: * **The 'Stream Selection' Trap:** Most students choose Science or Commerce based on peer pressure. We use our media features to explain why aptitude tests and personality mapping should drive this choice, not the herd mentality. * **Engineering vs. Medical:** I consistently advocate for keeping options open. You do not need to pigeonhole yourself at 15. We explain how you can prepare for both or pivot strategically if your initial exam results do not align with your targets. * **Stress Management:** We discuss the reality of anxiety in the competitive exam cycle. It is not just about the syllabus; it is about keeping your head in the game. Our approach is grounded in the reality that every student is different. Whether you are aiming for JEE Advanced, NEET, or just trying to decide your path after 10th grade, my goal is to ensure you have an honest, data-backed perspective before you make a commitment. ## About Shelar Academy I am Mangesh Shelar. I started this academy because I saw too many students getting lost in the noise, chasing ranks without a map. My team and I are here to make sure you have a real plan, not just a coaching schedule.
