Our workshops focus on the 'Four Pillars'—singing, dance, guitar, and rhythm—so you actually understand how to dance with live music rather than just following a sequence. Whether you are in our Bandra studio or joining from home via Zoom, you learn the true language of Flamenco. At SCFA, we believe technique is freedom. Many students get stuck in endless repetition without ever understanding the 'why' behind the movement. My approach, refined over decades of training in Seville, breaks this cycle. ### The Pillars of Flamenco Flamenco is a conversation between four elements: Cante (singing), Baile (dance), Toque (guitar), and Palmas (rhythm). In our workshops, we demystify these components. If you are a dancer, understanding the rhythm, or 'compas', is your secret weapon. It allows you to improvise and communicate with musicians on stage instead of just performing a memorized routine. ### Where We Learn * **In-Studio (Mumbai):** Our sessions in Bandra and Khar are strictly capped at 8 to 10 students. This ensures I can provide the physical posture adjustments and feedback necessary for proper technique and sound production. * **Online:** My live Zoom courses make Flamenco accessible from anywhere. We cover everything from absolute beginner basics to advanced singing and rhythm training, with recordings available if you miss a live session. ### Join the Familia When you join SCFA, you are not just signing up for a class. You are joining a tribe. We host exclusive film screenings, singing circles, and even immersive tours to Spain so you can experience the culture that birthed this art form. We welcome everyone—no prior experience, singing ability, or specific background is required. Come as you are, ready to move. ## About Shehzeen Cassum I’m Shehzeen, and for me, Flamenco is a way of life that goes beyond the studio.
