When I was bestowed the 'Ankita' or sacred pen name by the Vyasaraja Mutt Swamiji, it was not just an honor; it was a mandate to uphold the Haridasa tradition in my compositions. This sense of accountability is exactly what I bring to every project—ensuring that whether I am working on a solo piece or a grand production, it remains true to the shastras and the expectations of my lineage. The relationship with my Guru, Pt. Rajendra Gangani, is the bedrock of my technique. This Guru-Shishya Parampara is not just sentimental; it is the source of the discipline behind my footwork and the precision in my compositions.
