I use a layering technique where fairy lights are woven directly into greenery or draped as a dense curtain to soften the edges of the room. For balloon arches, I prefer organic, asymmetrical arrangements that look naturally lush rather than stiff or mass-produced, making your backdrop look clean and intentional in every photo. Lighting is my secret weapon. I believe the difference between a plain party and an event that people talk about lies in how the space is lit. I use a mix of warm fairy light curtains, marquee letters, and neon signage to create depth and warmth, especially for evening events on my Gurugram rooftop or at your chosen location. For balloons, I steer clear of generic clusters. I focus on organic balloon garlands that incorporate different sizes, textures, and chrome finishes to create a high-end look. I design these to frame your cake table or focal wall, ensuring they complement the space rather than clutter it. My decor setup isn't just about the props; it is about how they interact with the room. Whether I am placing lanterns along a walkway or setting up a marquee sign for a proposal, every element is chosen to add a glow that translates well on camera. If you have a specific theme or a Pinterest mood board you are obsessed with, let me know. I can adapt my materials—from pampas grass to floral accents—to ensure the final setup matches the aesthetic you have in mind for your special day. ## About Shamiyana I run Shamiyana, a rooftop studio in Gurugram where we are obsessed with the little things that make an event click. I believe that the right lighting and a bit of thoughtful decor are all you need to turn a normal evening into a memory you will actually want to revisit.
