I focus heavily on the FIG Code of Points during our sessions, meaning we break down every 'penche' and pivot not just for form, but for maximum technical difficulty score. You learn to perform for the people holding the scoring tablets. Most gymnasts train hard, but training smart involves knowing exactly what judges look for when they mark your execution and difficulty.
