From hand-sketched furniture to unique material choices, these elements define how a space feels and functions in everyday life. ## Photos and videos - [Video: I love the rustic, industrial feel of this powder bathroom at our Bhopal site. This hands-on approach is crucial for me to ensure that every curve and dimension is perfect before the final materials are cut and assembled.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/b1528867-4a23-424a-93bd-4c682a104e37) ## About Bespoke Details & Craftsmanship I often look for objects with history to anchor a modern room. For instance, in our Bhopal project, we turned an antique sewing machine base into a vanity unit for the powder room. It is those small, deliberate choices—pairing industrial brick with salvaged metal—that transform a standard bathroom into a genuine conversation piece. True luxury in residential renovation is not just about expensive finishes, but about the precision of custom furniture fabrication and architectural details. Whether it is a hand-sculpted Buddha focal point with layered lighting or a uniquely shaped center table, my approach starts with a 1:1 scale sketch on-site. This hands-on process allows me to test curves, dimensions, and ergonomics before any material is cut. My work often involves solving space constraints through design. In Mumbai homes, we frequently create custom cabinetry that conceals storage or multifunctional units that shift purpose throughout the day. This level of detail extends to our material palette as well. We mix textures like exposed brick, matte metals, and wood to ensure a home feels warm and lived-in rather than sterile. By focusing on bespoke interior details, we ensure that every square foot serves a purpose while contributing to the overall aesthetic narrative of your space. Whether you are looking for custom display units, heritage restoration, or integrated art installations, the goal remains the same: creating a space that feels distinctly yours. ## About Shahen Mistry Architects Hi, I am Shahen Mistry.
