We have dedicated drying racks at our Koramangala studio, so you can leave your wet canvases safely with us between sessions without needing to worry about storage at home. Oil painting is distinct for its slow drying time and rich, buttery texture, which gives you the freedom to blend, layer, and rework your composition until it feels just right. Unlike quick-drying mediums, oils allow for depth and luminosity that are hard to replicate. ### What We Cover In our studio, we move beyond basic application. We guide you through: * **Alla Prima:** The 'wet-on-wet' technique that allows you to complete a painting in a single sitting. * **Impasto:** Using palette knives to apply thick layers of paint for a sculptural, 3D effect on canvas. * **Layering & Glazing:** Building depth through transparent color applications. * **Portraiture & Landscapes:** Learning to manage light, shadow, and realistic proportions. ### Why Learn With Us Our approach is built on a 'pay-as-you-learn' model, meaning you do not need to commit to a multi-month semester to get started. You can book a single session to see if the medium suits you, or join us for a full course to build a solid portfolio. We provide all the necessary artist-grade materials—heavy-body oils, mediums like linseed oil and turpentine, and canvas boards—so you only need to show up ready to paint. Whether you are looking to pick up a new hobby or refine your technical skills, our small-batch classes ensure you get personalized instruction regardless of your experience level. We keep the environment relaxed and low-pressure, making it an ideal way to step away from the daily grind and focus entirely on your craft. ## About Shades Creative Learning We are Shades Creative Learning, and we believe that everyone has a bit of creativity waiting to be unlocked.
