I use 100 percent organic, triple-sifted henna that I make at home. It is not just about the stain, as the fine-tip work requires genuine patience. Whether it is for a Karwa Chauth moon or a traditional Teej swing, plan for about 60 to 90 minutes of application. You will need to let it set naturally, so keeping that window open in your schedule makes all the difference for that deep, dark colour. ### My Approach to Traditional Art I believe that even a small design should have its own identity. My approach is rooted in the philosophy that what you wear should feel like it belongs to you, whether it is for a wedding or a festival. I focus heavily on traditional symbolism, using motifs like peacocks, architectural domes, and jharokhas to build a narrative. ### Why Festive Mehendi is Different Festivals like Teej and Karwa Chauth require specific iconography. I spend time sketching these concepts, like a woman waiting for the moon, to ensure the composition on your hand is accurate and evocative. I do not rush through the details; I prefer to map out the placement of elephants, lotus patterns, or traditional bridal scenes so the design flows naturally with the shape of your hands and feet. ### Practical Details for Your Booking - **Quality Matters:** I use my own homemade henna paste. It is free from harsh chemicals, ensuring a safe experience for your skin. - **Preparation:** For festive work, please ensure your hands are clean and free of lotion before I arrive. This helps the henna adhere better and develop a deeper colour. - **Aftercare:** Since I use high-quality organic ingredients, keep the mehendi on for at least 6 to 8 hours. Avoid water contact for the first few hours to get that rich, dark maroon stain.
