As a physiotherapist, I ensure that every stance and strike is executed to protect your joints while generating maximum power, following the exact curriculum of our Okinawa headquarters. When you step into my dojo in Jayanagar, you are not just signing up for exercise; you are entering a lineage. The Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Seibukan style I teach is not a sport, and we do not chase trophies or medals. Instead, we follow the path of character perfection as taught by my teacher, Grand Master Zenpo Shimabukuro. ### Why Lineage Matters In martial arts, authenticity is the difference between learning a set of movements and mastering an art. Our curriculum is tied directly to the Seibukan headquarters in Japan. By training here, you practice the same Kata, Kihon (basics), and conditioning methods used by practitioners across our global community. You aren't learning a watered-down version of karate; you are learning the source material. ### Training Philosophy We adhere strictly to the Dojo Kun: - To strive for the perfection of character - To defend the paths of truth - To foster the spirit of effort - To honor the principles of etiquette - To guard against impetuous courage This approach ensures that every student, whether a child or an adult, learns the value of discipline and respect. We use traditional tools like the makiwara for conditioning, and every grading session is an opportunity to prove your dedication. If you are looking for a place to build strength, learn self-defense, and develop your character through traditional Japanese martial arts, you will find a dedicated community here. ## About Midhun Valiya Parambil I am Sensei Midhun Valiya Parambil, and I bring the authentic teachings of Shorin-Ryu Seibukan directly from Okinawa to Jayanagar.
