You will spend 1 to 2 hours under evaluation to demonstrate that your skills meet the international Jinbukan Kobudo standards before any rank is awarded. In the Shorin-Ryu Seibukan lineage, advancement is earned through consistent practice. Grading is a rigorous 1-2 hour evaluation where you must demonstrate technical precision in your Kata, footwork, and weapon handling—whether you are working with the Bo staff or Tonfa. We do not skip steps or lower standards. Each Kyu grade you earn is registered in the international database, meaning your advancement is recognized worldwide. When you prepare for an exam at my Jayanagar dojo, you are not just learning to pass a test; you are refining your biomechanics and character under the strict standards of traditional Okinawan Kobudo. If you have been training consistently and are ready to have your progress formally assessed, we will schedule your evaluation according to your readiness. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, your certification will reflect the actual effort you have invested in your training. ## About Midhun Valiya Parambil I am Sensei Midhun.
