We actively engage with the media to share our perspective on building better cities, specifically for the context of Mumbai. ## Photos and videos - [Video: Discussing our urban design principles and the specifics of the Bandra projects during an interview on 94.3 Radio One. We discuss the technical reality of projects like the Bandra Station redesign, where we had to map complex traffic patterns and negotiate with multiple stakeholders to make the space functional for over 500,000 daily commuters. Architecture is not just about the final building, but about the conversations that shape it. By engaging with platforms like Radio One and publications like Citizen Matters, we aim to demystify the design process and advocate for better urban practices. Our philosophy of 'design through dialogue' means we treat every public project as a case study. Whether it is explaining the implementation of tactical urbanism or the complexities of adaptive reuse, our media features serve as a roadmap of how we approach problem-solving in a dense city like Mumbai. We believe that by making our technical drawings and design narratives public, we can contribute to a larger understanding of how infrastructure can serve people rather than just occupying space. We document these interactions because transparency in the design process is vital. It allows clients to see exactly how we navigate municipal regulations, handle heritage preservation, and integrate traffic logic into our designs. If you are interested in how this methodology applies to your own project—be it an industrial building, an interior design task, or an urban intervention—we are happy to walk you through our approach in detail. ## About SDM Architects We are SDM Architects, a team driven by the belief that architecture is a form of public service.
