### Devanagari Hindi Calligraphy Course (2 Months)

Hindi script calligraphy from letter formation to mantra writing, using chisel markers. 16 sessions over 2 months.

Typically ₹3,000 per course (2 months, 16 sessions) (estimate)

#### Course Details
* 2 months, 16 sessions, 2 classes a week, 40 minutes each, live on Zoom.
* Session recordings are shared so you can practise again at your own pace.

#### Script Fundamentals
* **Devanagari anatomy:** The Shirorekha (top line) and the angles each letter needs.
* **Tools:** Chisel markers and cut nib pens, held at a 45 degree angle.
* **Varnamala:** Systematic practice of Swar and Vyanjan with calligraphic flair, starting from क ख ग.

#### Going Further
* **Jodakshar:** Half letters and conjuncts, written smoothly.
* **Mantra writing:** Pieces like गणपती बाप्पा मोरया and ॐ नमः शिवाय, with decorative flourishes and line art.
* **Composition:** Combining script with simple drawing to make a complete artwork.

#### Good to Know
* **Materials:** Markers and paper bought by the student, list shared before we start.
* **Demo:** Chargeable, unless you join a running batch.

### English Calligraphy and Creative Lettering Course (2 Months)

Modern and Gothic lettering, brush pen control, and finished quote and festive pieces. 16 sessions over 2 months.

Typically ₹3,000 per course (2 months, 16 sessions) (estimate)

#### Course Details
* 2 months, 16 sessions, 2 classes a week, 40 minutes each, live on Zoom.
* Kids and adults both. Calligraphy is a style of fonts, so it suits anyone who wants to write beautifully.

#### Technique
* **Pen control:** Pressure control for thick downstrokes and thin upstrokes with brush pens.
* **Styles:** Modern calligraphy, Gothic lettering, faux calligraphy, block lettering.
* **Colour and backgrounds:** Two tone blends, watercolour style backgrounds, striped and patterned backdrops.

#### Finished Pieces You Make
* **Quote work:** Pieces like Don't be Perfect Just be Real, Always Be Yourself, Dream It Then Do It, Love You Zindagi.
* **Festive and personal:** Happy Rakhi and Happy Janmashtami cards, personalised nameplates.
* **Doodle integration:** Adding flowers, borders and small line art around the lettering.

#### Good to Know
* **Materials:** Pens, markers and paper are bought by the student. I share the exact list.
* **Demo:** Chargeable, unless you join a running batch.

### Cursive and Handwriting Improvement Course (2 Months)

Full 2 month course, 16 sessions. Only sold as a course, not monthly, because handwriting needs the full stretch to fix.

Typically ₹3,000 per course (2 months, 16 sessions) (estimate)

#### Why It Is a Course and Not Monthly
* Handwriting ka monthly hisab nahi hota (handwriting cannot be done month by month). Habits take the full 2 months to change, so I only run it as a complete course.
*   16 sessions, 2 classes a week, 8 classes a month, 40 minutes each, live on Zoom.

#### What We Fix
* **Grip and posture:** Correcting how the pencil is held and how the child sits, so the hand does not tire.
* **Cursive formation:** Stroke by stroke practice of lowercase a to z and uppercase A to Z.
* **Joining letters:** Connectors between letters so writing flows without lifting the pen.
* **Legibility:** Working on 4 line and 2 line ruled paper to fix slant, size, alignment and spacing.
* **Hindi handwriting:** If needed, we start from क ख ग formation and build up.

#### How I Run It
* **Corrections:** I go through each child's work and point out exactly what to change.
* **Homework:** 10 to 15 minutes of practice daily. Without this the writing will not change, I am honest about that.
* **Demo:** Chargeable. Free only if your child sits into a batch that is already running.

## About Calligraphy & Handwriting Improvement

### Why I Teach Calligraphy

Art for me is about feeling, not just fancy letters. I love helping people turn simple writing into something they’re actually proud of. *Bachhon ki bhavna samajh ke* (understanding kids’ feelings) is what guides my classes, not just rules or drills.

### What You’ll Learn

- English script: I teach both kids and adults. We start with cursive handwriting practice, step-by-step, so you get clear, neat writing. If you want to try something creative, we dive into modern calligraphy for beginners, using quotes, colors, and fun themes.
- Hindi/Devanagari script: For anyone 15+, I run workshops from basics like holding the pen, to forming letters, numbers, and even *jodakshar* (joint letters) and *barahkhadi* (vowel forms). By the end, you’ll be writing full sentences with confidence.

### My Way of Teaching

I don’t believe in punishment or boring lectures. My classes are interactive, full of laughter, and I keep groups small so I can actually pay attention to everyone. Classes are live on Zoom, 40 minutes, twice a week, and handwriting runs as a full 2 month course because habits need that much time to change. I am honest about that part.

### What You’ll Take Away

It’s not just about pretty writing. You’ll build patience, focus, and a new way to express yourself. Most of my students say they feel more confident and calm after these sessions.

### My story

Hi, I'm Sonika Gupta. Art and calligraphy are my thing, but really I just love helping kids and moms find their creative spark. That's why I started Saraswatei Learnings - art is a gift, na? Every color, every stroke, it’s a joy. I’ve taught over 10,000 students, online and here in Delhi. Nothing beats seeing a kid proud of their work. I believe in gentle guidance. Bachho ko pyaar se samjhao (explain to kids with love), let them grow and shine.

### My work

- **Calligraphy, Handwriting and Drawing**: I teach English and Devanagari calligraphy, cursive and handwriting improvement, and drawing for small kids. Teacher training for ladies also.
- **Kids and Grown-ups Both**: Mostly small bacche come to me, but adults learn calligraphy and lettering with me too.
- **Online on Zoom**: Classes are live on Zoom, 40 minutes, twice a week. 16 sessions in a 2 month course.
- **Gentle Guidance Teaching Style**: No punishment zone. Bachho ko pyaar se samjhao (explain to kids with love). I build confidence first, neatness comes after.
- **Same Fees Everywhere**: Whatever fees is on my website, that is the fees here also. I don't believe in changing price for different people.
