I sketch every major motif, from these palace domes to peacock pairings, on paper first. This helps me check symmetry and plan where the negative space goes so your hands do not end up looking crowded. If you join my classes, this is exactly the kind of planning I teach you to do before you ever pick up a cone. Practice is the only way to get those clean, fine lines you see in my bridal work. Whether it is mastering a 3D cutwork flower or perfecting a royal 'jharokha' (window) motif, I spend as much time on paper as I do on skin.
