Our annual show, Pratibha Darpan, is where our students step out of the practice room and onto a professional stage at venues like Vijay Kiran Auditorium. It is not just about the performance; it is about building the confidence to hold an audience, whether you are a beginner on the keyboard or an advanced classical dancer. ### More Than Just Practice Music is a journey that eventually needs a listener. While we strictly follow the Prayag Sangeet Samiti and Sarbabharatiya Sangeet-O-Sanskriti Parishad curriculum for technical proficiency, we believe the true joy of learning lies in sharing your art. Our students regularly transition from classroom lessons to the stage, participating in annual events that celebrate Indian classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, and traditional dance forms. ### The Pratibha Darpan Showcase Our flagship annual event, Pratibha Darpan, serves as the ultimate goal for many of our students. It provides a professional environment where students of all ages—from kids to adults—can perform solo or in groups. This is where the long hours of rehearsal, the intricate tabla bols, and the delicate dance mudras come together. For our students, this experience is invaluable. It helps manage stage fright, understand live acoustics, and learn the discipline of a real production, from costumes and makeup to the final curtain call. ### Celebrating Culture Together Beyond formal shows, we integrate performance into our cultural calendar. We honor traditions through events like Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti and Ganesh Chaturthi. These performances are community-led celebrations where students and gurus bond backstage, fostering a culture of mutual support. Whether it is a Hindustani vocal piece or a Kathak recital with live tabla sangat, these moments reinforce the community bond that defines our Gurugriha. If you are looking for a place where your progress is measured by both certificates and stage experience, you will fit right in with our family. ## About Sangeet Gurugriha We are Sangeet Gurugriha, a family of 17 gurus dedicated to keeping classical traditions and music education alive in Bangalore.
