Here, I blend traditional sand storytelling with modern animation styles to create something entirely new for your special moments. ## Photos and videos - [Video: Continuing my exploration of Ghibli-inspired art, this piece shows another couple's story reimagined in that soft, hand-drawn style. By blending the two art forms, I aim to evoke a sense of warmth and timeless emotion, where every grain of sand tells a gentler story.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/6697051d-91b0-4b3f-bcd2-183b309da1d7) ## About Artistic Explorations When I blend sand art with animation styles—like the soft, hand-drawn aesthetic seen in these examples—the goal isn't just to make a video. It is to capture a specific warmth that raw, monochromatic sand sometimes cannot reach. If you are looking to commission a tribute or a gift that feels like a living storybook, this hybrid approach allows us to add texture, colour, and gentle movement while keeping the soul of the sand intact. Traditional sand art has a raw, dramatic beauty, but sometimes a story needs a softer touch. By layering digital animation techniques over my hand-drawn sand frames, I can introduce lighting and movement that feel like a scene from an animated classic. This is my experimental space where I push the limits of what a 'sand video' can be. ### Why choose this style? This hybrid approach is perfect for clients who want their love story or memorial tribute to feel like a piece of art rather than a standard slideshow. It works beautifully for milestone anniversaries where nostalgia is key, or for gifts where you want the visual to feel timeless, almost like a classic illustration. ### The process Because this is a meticulous, multi-step process—starting with actual physical sand drawings that are then processed and layered with digital elements—it requires more collaboration than my standard silhouette shows. 1. **Concept & Mood Board:** We discuss the 'vibe' you want. Are we going for a dreamy, Ghibli-inspired look or something sharper? 2. **Sand Composition:** I draw the keyframes in real sand at my Noida studio. 3. **The Hybrid Layer:** My team and I apply the digital effects, ensuring the sand texture remains the hero of the frame. Since each frame is treated individually, this project takes a bit more time than standard formats. If you have a specific visual inspiration or a feeling you want to recreate in sand, let’s talk. We aren't just making a video; we are crafting a visual poem. ## About Rajat Kumar Hello ji, Rajat here. I am just a boy from Agra who fell in love with the stories hidden in sand. Whether I am performing live on a big stage or crafting these hybrid animation pieces in my studio, my goal is always the same: to find the emotion in every grain.
