Whether you need a live performance for an event or a permanent tribute, these works honor our shared heritage. ## Photos and videos - [Video: A tribute to our great nation for Independence Day. This sand art video honors freedom fighters like Subhas Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, and others who shaped our country. For my live performances, the process is rhythmic, where I build the image in real-time before your eyes to a musical score, ensuring the tribute feels both alive and deeply personal. My process isn't about just drawing a face. It is about capturing a spirit, especially when I work on tributes for figures like Mahatma Gandhi or Subhas Chandra Bose. When you book a live performance, the sand is essentially a fleeting medium. I craft the story, layer by layer, and it exists only for the duration of the event before we transition to the next scene. It is a powerful way to make an audience pause and reflect. If you are looking for something permanent, I use my fixed sand technique. I mount the art on rigid boards, treated with industrial fixatives so the grains stay in place forever. These 24x30 inch portraits are perfect for offices, schools, or community spaces that want to honor our national heroes in an eco-friendly way. As someone who performed at the G-20 and completed over 800 shows, I understand how to tailor the intensity of the performance to your crowd. Whether it is for a corporate award night or a public celebration of Independence Day, we can curate the visuals to match the occasion. Everything I do, from the studio in Yeswanthpur to your venue, remains true to my core belief: 'Vasudaiva Kutumbakam' (One World, One Family). I ship physical pieces across India, and if you are in Bengaluru, you are welcome to visit the studio to discuss a commission. Let us create something that celebrates our country together. Jai Hind! ## About Raghavendra Hegde I am Raghavendra Hegde. I believe sand is the perfect medium to honor our great nation because it is natural and timeless.
