The process takes about 7 to 14 days from the approval of the initial layout to the final application of industrial fixatives that keep the sand grains stable. The result is a monochromatic, sepia-toned finish that adds physical depth to every expression on a 24 by 30 inch board. ### The Sustainable Process Each portrait is more than just a picture. I use graded natural sand in sepia and brown tones to build a monochromatic piece that feels tactile and alive. Because I believe in sustainable art, the grains are permanently fixed onto a rigid board using professional-grade industrial binders, ensuring they do not shed or shift over time. ### What You Receive * **Size:** Each portrait is created on a standard 24 by 30 inch board. * **Protection:** To prevent dust accumulation and adhesive fading, the art is encased in a box-style frame with museum-grade UV-protective glass. * **Ready to Hang:** Your piece arrives with pre-installed heavy-duty hardware. * **Authenticity:** Every artwork is hand-signed and includes a physical Certificate of Authenticity. ### How to Commission a Portrait The process is collaborative. Once you provide a high-contrast photo of the subject, I create an initial rough layout for your approval. We discuss the composition, and once confirmed, I move to the sand application phase. This workflow ensures the final piece is exactly what you envisioned, whether it is a tribute to a loved one, a portrait of a public figure, or a special gift. Being based in Yeswanthpur, Bengaluru, I ship these pieces safely across India using multi-layer bubble wrap packaging. ## About Raghavendra Hegde I am Raghavendra Hegde.
