You will not have to worry about shedding; these works are protected by clear glass or acrylic and arrive with pre-installed, heavy-duty mounting wire, ready for your wall immediately. In my abstract sand paintings, I push the limits of what this medium can do. While many know me for my live performances or portraits, this cluster—the abstract series—is where I find my own rhythm. I move away from clear subjects to focus on the raw, tactile nature of sand. You will notice recurring themes in this collection: 'Sand Binding', where I use horizontal lines to mimic fabric or digital code, and 'Hide', where layers of sand create shadows and depth. These pieces are not just decorative; they are tactile experiments with texture and light. Each artwork is crafted on a 24x36 inch rigid board or canvas. Using techniques I have honed over years, I ensure the sand is permanently fixed so the art remains stable. To keep them pristine, I house these paintings in premium matte black or dark wood box-style frames with protective glass or non-reflective acrylic glazing. Whether you are looking for 'High Hope'—my take on urban growth—or the 'Sand Sangam' series, these works bring a sustainable, earthy element into your space. Since I create these in limited editions, they are perfect for collectors looking for something truly different. If you have a specific space in your home or office and need a particular size or color palette, I am happy to discuss a custom abstract commission. Let us bring nature into your space, one grain at a time. ## About Raghavendra Hegde I’m Raghavendra Hegde, a visual artist based in Bangalore.
