Before every retro hit, you will hear a piece of shayari that sets the mood, followed by a live band arrangement that gives these golden-era classics a fresh, punchy sound. Whether it is an intimate family dinner or a high-energy dance floor, I customize the setlist and volume to ensure the music always fits the room. My band, Murshid, and I view every performance as an interactive experience rather than a one-way concert. We understand that a 'Bollywood Retro' set needs to bridge generations, so we balance nostalgic melodies with the upbeat percussion the modern crowd expects. Our ensemble is flexible, ranging from an acoustic trio for soft, ambient dining to a full 14-member group for grand celebrations. We mix traditional instruments like the tabla and dholak with electric guitars and keyboards, which keeps the sound authentic to the original tracks while adding the professional polish needed for a live venue. I personally tailor the flow of the night based on the audience. If the mood is reflective, we focus on ghazals and soft retro classics. If the crowd is ready to move, we shift into high-tempo Punjabi fusion and Bollywood dance numbers. My team handles the technical setup, from sound mixing to stage presence, so you can focus on enjoying the night with your guests. ## About Sameer Khan Niazi Music is my life, rooted in the traditions of the Rampur Sahaswan Gharana. With my band Murshid, I aim to create a space where you can forget your worries and just enjoy the melody.
