We sit down to discuss the colors and motifs that mean something to you, which means every saree or blouse takes time to craft with intention. At Sameeksha, my work is about more than just decoration. It is about preservation. I specialize in over 25 different styles of hand embroidery, with a deep focus on the heritage of Kasuti—a traditional Karnataka craft where the pattern appears identical on both sides of the fabric. ### My Approach to Your Custom Piece When you commission a saree, blouse, or stole, you aren't getting a mass-produced item. You are getting a piece of history. We use pure materials like cotton and silk, ensuring that the embroidery is not just beautiful, but durable. * **Customization:** You provide the vision, and we translate it into stitches. We can work on your existing fabrics or create something fresh from our collection. * **Upcycling:** If you have a favorite old saree or blouse that feels dated, we can rejuvenate it with traditional embroidery to give it a completely new life. * **Wait Times:** Because each stitch is done by hand, I request you to plan ahead. Good embroidery cannot be rushed. ### Why Hand Embroidery Matters I often tell my students that this craft is meditative. It teaches patience. When you wear a piece that has been hand-stitched, you are carrying that slow, thoughtful energy with you. It is the antithesis of fast fashion.
