When you commission work, we discuss the design, colors, and intent before a single thread is pulled, ensuring the final piece carries the personal story you want it to tell. At Sameeksha, our studio in Koramangala, Bengaluru, is where we preserve the heritage of hand embroidery. We believe that embroidery is a meditative process, not just a decorative finish. Whether we are working on a custom saree revival or creating a simple hoop art piece, our approach remains the same: slow, mindful, and rooted in traditional techniques. We specialize in over 25 embroidery styles, with a focus on GI-certified Kasuti embroidery. This intricate, counted-thread technique from Karnataka relies on precise geometry and requires a deep understanding of fabric structure. Unlike mass-produced alternatives, our hand-stitched patterns, whether temple gopuras or intricate floral motifs, are done without knots, ensuring the reverse side of your garment is as polished as the front. ### Our Process When you visit us for a custom project, we start with a conversation. We want to know the story behind your garment. Are you looking to breathe new life into an old Kanjeevaram with custom patchwork, or perhaps you need a blouse designed from scratch using Zardosi or Kantha? We do not follow fast-fashion trends.
