## About Client Diaries & Collaborations

When you commission a piece, we don't just pick a design. We discuss the fabric, the occasion, and the story you want to wear. Whether it is a single-color Kutchwork motif to match a specific saree or a custom pattern for a family heirloom, my goal is to ensure the embroidery feels like an extension of the garment itself, not just an addition.

### Working Together
Embroidery is a slow, meditative process, and that is how I approach every collaboration. When a client reaches out—whether they are based here in Bangalore or sending a saree from across the globe—the first step is always a conversation. We discuss what the garment means to you. Is it a vintage Kanjeevaram that needs new life? Is it a plain blouse that needs a specific, understated motif?

I value the trust you place in me when you send your fabric. For instance, when clients ask for a single-color thread treatment to ensure elegance, I focus on the geometry of the stitches rather than overwhelming the cloth. My process relies on clear communication, ensuring the final piece reflects your vision rather than a market trend.

### Beyond the Studio
My work also extends to the broader textile community. Participating in exhibitions like 'Pampa: Textiles of Karnataka' at Hampi or connecting with global enthusiasts during London Textile Month allows me to stay rooted in our heritage while learning from other makers. These events are not just about display; they are platforms to share the meditative power of embroidery and the importance of traditional techniques like Kasuti. When you work with me, you are tapping into a practice that respects both the history of the needle and the person holding it.

I am Sujaya Mahesh, and at Sameeksha, I believe embroidery is a way to keep stories alive. Every stitch I sew is a conversation with the person wearing it, whether it is a revival of an old saree or a design for a new milestone.
