Embroidery is a universal language. From the geometric precision of Japanese Sashiko and the upcycled layers of Indian Kantha to the heritage work of Kasuti, I explore 25+ global styles to add texture and story to your fabrics.

## About A World of Stitches

When we choose a style, it is less about trends and more about how the thread interacts with your specific fabric. Whether it is the rhythmic running stitch of Sashiko on heavy cotton or the dense heritage work of Kasuti on silk, I prefer to look at your piece in my Koramangala studio to see how the patterns drape before we commit to the full project.

Every embroidery tradition carries a distinct history. Japanese Sashiko was born out of necessity to reinforce clothing, making it incredibly durable for modern daily wear. Indian Kantha is my favorite for upcycling, as it turns layers of old fabric into something new and sturdy. My approach is to take these global techniques and adapt them to your specific needs, ensuring the work is neat, durable, and uniquely yours.

I treat my studio in Koramangala as a space for sharing these methods. If you are curious about learning, I teach these techniques in workshops where we skip the dense theory and get straight to the rhythm of the needle. We focus on the 'why' behind every stitch, ensuring you walk away with a skill you can practice for years. Whether you want a custom piece created or want to learn the art yourself, the process remains the same: one steady stitch at a time.
