Whether it is our weekly Mohiniyattam practice or the intense rehearsals for a production like 'Ashtalakshmi', we value the process as much as the outcome. When you work with us, you are inviting a group that has spent years finding its rhythm together, not just a set of dancers hired for the day. Our practice is built on the philosophy of 'samarpanam', or humble offering. This approach defines how we rehearse and interact. We are not just a performing unit; we are a family. From the 'Ashtalakshmi' rehearsals at our Bangalore space to the pre-performance rituals like applying 'altha', every moment is part of our artistic journey. Our rehearsals often feature a unique mix of discipline and lighthearted bonding, which we believe translates directly into the energy you see on stage. We treat every session as a space for growth, where the dancers and the music ensemble work in harmony. We believe that dance happens when the dancer disappears and only the energy remains. This connection is something we nurture every day. If you are looking for a troupe that brings both technical precision and a genuine, soulful connection to your event, we are here to help. Whether it is a full-scale theater production or an intimate temple offering, we bring the same dedication to our craft. We invite you to reach out and discuss how our traditional Mohiniyattam performances can fit your specific vision. ## About Samarpana We are Samarpana, a Bangalore-based family united by our deep love for Mohiniyattam. We dance because we cherish the tradition passed down by our Guru, Vinaya Narayanan, and we find our joy in the simple, shared moments of rehearsal and performance.
