At Samarpana, we focus on helping you build the endurance and *abhinaya* (expression) needed for a full-length repertoire, ensuring your maiden performance is a true *samarpanam*—a humble offering of your art. The Arangetram marks a pivotal milestone for any serious practitioner of Mohiniyattam. It is not merely a stage performance but a sacred debut that requires deep emotional maturity and technical precision. ### Our Approach to Arangetram Training When a student begins their Arangetram journey with us at our Gottigere studio, the process is holistic. We adhere strictly to the Bharati Shivaji style, focusing on the fluidity of the torso and the subtlety of facial expressions that define this beautiful Kerala art form. * **Technical Rigor:** We guide you through the complex *Talam* (rhythm) calculations and the nuances of the *Padam* and *Thillana*, ensuring your footwork is precise and graceful. * **Stagecraft:** An Arangetram is a production. We introduce you to the realities of stage design, lighting, and costume management, often collaborating with experts to ensure you are comfortable in a professional performance environment. * **Artistic Depth:** The goal is to move beyond the steps. We work on your *Netra Sadhakam* (eye exercises) and internalize the lyrical meaning of every composition so your dance becomes an authentic expression of your personality. ### Why Train With Us We don't just coach you; we support you. Our collective includes musicians and experienced dancers who understand the demands of a maiden solo show. Whether you are a dedicated student or a professional returning to the stage, like our disciple Dr. Sushmitha Anantha Murthy, we provide the mentorship and community encouragement needed to execute your debut with confidence and grace. ## About Samarpana We are a collective rooted in the Bharati Shivaji style of Mohiniyattam. We walk with our students through every phase of their Arangetram journey, from the first *adavu* to the final performance on stage.
