We cap our intensive immersions at 15 participants, ensuring that you receive dedicated attention for your posture, eye exercises (netra sadhakam), and complex footwork patterns, regardless of your starting level. We believe learning is a journey shared among friends. Our classes in Bangalore offer more than just physical training; they are a space for artists and enthusiasts to connect. We break down the adavus (steps) and chollu (rhythmic syllables) with patience, ensuring every student feels the rhythm of the music and the depth of the abhinaya (emotive expression). Our 'Anubhavam' series invites guest maestros to share perspectives that go beyond the syllabus, often touching upon the technical brilliance required to stage a production, like lighting design and stage craft. If you are looking for a community that values the spirit of the dance as much as the technique, you have found your place. We also provide hybrid options for some sessions, so you can learn with us even if you cannot make it to our studio in person. ## About Samarpana We are Samarpana, a community of dancers and musicians in Bangalore who treat Mohiniyattam as a way of life. We focus on the Bharati Shivaji style, but more importantly, we focus on the people—laughing, learning, and growing together through the art.
