Whether we are hosting guest artists for the Anubhavam series or conducting intensive technique modules at our Kalari, our focus remains on individual correction and the shared energy of the group, ensuring that every participant leaves with a deeper understanding of the art form, not just a set of new movements. Deep Dive into Mohiniyattam Our workshops are crafted to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the rigour of professional performance. We believe that true growth happens when you step out of your regular routine, which is why we curate these intensives to cover diverse aspects of the dance, from Abhinaya (expressive acting) nuances and complex Hastha Mudras (hand gestures) to the subtle swaying movements of Andolika. The Anubhavam Series Our signature Anubhavam Series is close to our hearts. We invite eminent practitioners to Bangalore, allowing our students to experience different pedagogical styles within the broader framework of Guru Bharati Shivaji’s tradition. These are not just one-way lectures, but interactive spaces where theory meets practice. You get to engage with the history, the spiritual context, and the technical intricacies of Mohiniyattam in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Why Join Our Workshops? - Intensive Focus: Unlike regular classes, these sessions are designed for rapid skill acquisition and deep-dives into specific topics. - Guest Expertise: Learn directly from senior artists and visiting faculty who bring a fresh perspective to our practice. - Community of Learners: You will be training alongside a group of passionate students, fostering connections that often last long after the workshop ends. - Practical Takeaways: Each participant receives certification, and our weekend format ensures you can commit fully without disrupting your weekly schedule. Whether you are a seasoned student looking to refine your repertoire or someone new to Mohiniyattam curious about the Chuvadusadhakam (footwork), our workshops offer a structured path to progress. Join us at our Gottigere Kalari and immerse yourself in the energy. ## About Samarpana We are a collective of dancers who believe that Mohiniyattam is a shared journey of joy and discipline.
