It is about that adrenaline rush when you step under the lights. At our festivals, we structure these heats so that even if you are just starting out, you get a fair shot at the stage, with international judges providing genuine, constructive feedback on your technique and musicality. ### Beyond the Studio At Salsa India, we believe performance is the fastest way to grow as a dancer. When you sign up for the Asia Open Afro Latin Dance Cup or a Jack & Jill heat, you are not just entering a contest. You are joining a community that cheers for every turn and dip. Yahan dance sirf seekhna nahi hai, jeena hai (Here, dance isn't just learned, it is lived). ### How It Works We break down the competition into clear categories: Beginner, Amateur, Pro-Am, and Solo. This ensures you are dancing alongside peers who are at a similar stage in their journey. The structure is simple: you go through a preliminary heat, and if you qualify, you take the main stage for the final round. Don't worry about the pressure. Our team handles the logistics, from bib numbers to sound checks, so you can focus entirely on your rhythm. ### Why Compete? * **Professional Judging:** Get evaluated by international artists and senior national dancers. It is a rare chance to get an expert eye on your form. * **Real Rewards:** While trophies and certificates are a great reminder of your hard work, our top prize is often a Full Access Pass to future festivals, keeping you in the Latin family loop. * **The Jack & Jill Format:** For the social dancers out there, we run Jack & Jill contests where you are paired with a random partner. It is the ultimate test of your lead-and-follow skills and improvisational flair. Whatever your level, remember that we are here to help you get stage-ready. We don't just host competitions. We build the confidence you need to shine. ## About Salsa India We have been running the longest-running Latin nights in India for nearly 20 years, turning our passion for Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba into a way of life. We are not just instructors. We are your Latin family, here to cheer you on from your very first step to your final bow on the festival stage.
