Whether we are in a studio in Mumbai or out on a retreat, expect to sweat, laugh, and occasionally mess up, because that is the honest process of connecting with your body and the music. ### Finding Your Freedom Through Dance I treat every workshop as a safe space where tradition meets play. While Kathak is my foundation, my teaching style is fluid—I blend classical technique with contemporary movement to help you express yourself without the pressure of judgment. **What to Expect in Class:** * **Technique with a Twist:** We cover the fundamentals—footwork, spins, and hand gestures—but we quickly move into how you can use these tools to tell your own story. * **Sweaty, Shaky Sessions:** I believe if you aren't leaving the studio a little bit tired, you haven't fully let go. We experiment, we push boundaries, and we have a lot of fun doing it. * **Community First:** Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced dancer, my classes are about building a 'dance family.' It is about the shared energy of the room, not just individual performance. ### Immersive Dance Retreats Sometimes, you need to step away from the city chaos to find your rhythm. My 'Rangwang' retreats are curated to combine dance with travel and local culture. From the quiet mountains of Ladakh to the beaches of Goa, these retreats offer a 4-to-5-day escape where we dance, practice yoga, and simply breathe. We spend our mornings in the studio and our evenings connecting with nature and each other. ### Is This For You? If you are looking for a sterile, exam-oriented dance syllabus, this is not that. But if you want to explore the emotional 'why' behind the movement, build confidence in your body, and join a circle of people who are as passionate about movement as you are, you will fit right in. I focus on the experience of dance—the *pal pal jeena* (living in the moment)—rather than just the end performance. Come with an open mind, and be ready to move. ## About Saloni Saraf I’m Saloni, a Kathak dancer who spends my time between Mumbai and London chasing stories and stages. My classes are a safe space where we mix traditional Kathak with a lot of play and zero judgment.
