It is about capturing the tension between classical Kathak mudras and modern aesthetics. I work closely with photographers to ensure the lighting and frame honor the geometry of my movement, often using long-exposure techniques to visualize the path of the dance. Whether it is a high-fashion editorial or a conceptual movement series, these shoots are where I experiment with the limits of my form. My Kathak base is rooted in tradition, but in front of a lens, I can stretch that narrative. You will see influences of contemporary flow, Sufi stillness, and even the historical aesthetic of the courtesans. I do not just pose. I treat the camera like a partner. We often experiment with motion blur to show the swirl of a skirt or a specific footwork sequence, turning static frames into a story about time and energy. I have collaborated with artists across Mumbai and London, from conceptual henna artistry projects to architectural shoots at historical sites like the Ellora Caves. For brands and photographers, I bring more than just movement. I bring the ability to hold a line, understand the rhythm of a shot, and maintain the emotional intensity needed for a high-contrast black-and-white print or a soft, dreamy portrait.
