Here are some of the textures, lighting styles, and unexpected finds that are currently shaping my approach to creating calm, personal homes. ## Photos and videos - [Video: On a recent trip, I discovered the Star Alliance Lighting Center in Guzhen, a top-tier lighting mall. This video shows some of the stunning and dreamiest decorative lights I found, from sculptural floor lamps to cascading chandeliers.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/63266db0-d2ce-4e5b-be85-596e25864403) - ![This vibrant yellow leather sofa pops against the serene backdrop of an indoor court with a natural stone wall. It's a perfect example of how a bold color can bring energy to a space with a modern, natural design.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/d455dcac-be01-460a-87e9-e055f92a4dc0) ## About Inspirations & Discoveries Lighting is rarely just about visibility. When I select fixtures, I am looking for sculptural elements that work even when switched off. Notice how the magnetic tracks and custom chandeliers featured here change the geometry of a room, transforming a standard ceiling into a focal point without cluttering the visual field. Good design happens when you stop looking at showrooms and start looking at the world. My inspiration often comes from travel, unexpected textures in nature, or the interplay of light in a foreign market. When I visit places like the Star Alliance Lighting Center, I am not just looking for a lamp. I am hunting for pieces that have a quiet presence. Whether it is a vibrant leather sofa in a courtyard or a custom lighting installation, the goal is to balance energy with serenity. A bold piece, like a yellow sofa against a stone wall, adds character to a room without compromising its calm. We do not just buy items, we hand-select them. When working on a project in Delhi or beyond, I often suggest unique joinery or specific hardware that acts like jewelry for your home. It is about layering elements that tell your story. If you are struggling to find that one statement piece that brings a room together, let us talk about how we can source or design it specifically for your space. ## About Sage Haus I am Somya, and I founded Sage Haus because I believe your home should be your sanctuary, not a showroom.
